Norcross Printing Group is committed to embracing practices that eliminate, reduce or minimise the environmental impacts of our business and our client’s businesses.

Norcross Printing Group achieves this by identifying environmental improvement areas within our own production procedures and within our client’s procurement practices.

The Enviro-Mark®NZ
The Norcross Printing Group has been accepted into the Auckland Business Care Enviro-Mark programme. Enviro-Mark® NZ is an environmental management system comprising five auditable standards (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond) by which to monitor, improve and demonstrate environmental best practice to customers and other interested parties.

The programme has at its core an easy-to-use self assessment and planning process that enables users to evaluate their environmental management performance against the Enviro-Mark®NZ standards. Achievement of the five standards is verified by external audit.

An Environmental Business Plan generated from the self assessment process provides an indiction of the overall effectiveness of current environmental, health and safety management against the five levels of Enviro-Mark®NZ. It also identifies the appropriate steps that need to be taken to achieve a higher Enviro-Mark®NZ standard.

The Standards we have achieved

• 2004 - Bronze: Compliance with the most commonly applicable environmental health and safety legislation.
• 2005 - Silver: Production of an appropriate environmental policy, built upon a determination of environmental impacts.
• 2006 - Gold: Effective monitoring of targets and objectives to achieve continuous improvement
